Copake Day Jaunt
Memorable visit to the 90 plus year-old Copake home, rich in family history and tended with loving care by a nephew and niece who maintain the beauty of a lakefront summer residence. Here, family members gather at varied times to greet, catch-up, and reminisce. The colors of October leaves on this visit spilled onto Lake Lower Rhoda in impressionistic protean patterns. A porch reconstruction caught in afternoon sunlight glowed as did the Chinese Lanterns in a vase. The playhouse by the lake shone white, it too harboring former dreams and memories.
