Grocery shopping in sunlight makes for interesting light patterns on consumers and workers. Outdoor stands laden with fruits and vegetables attract the shoppers, although other passersby simply hasten past -- probably with larders already filled.

Riverside Park Current Blooms

Peonies and roses in vivid hues, magenta the peonies, orange-pink blend the roses, and a floral pink spray of tiny florets are currently blooming in Riverside Park Community Garden. Thanks to the volunteers who donate their time and efforts to make this a focal point of the promenade.

Early Leafing

May brings budding and leafing. The trees along the Hudson River have arching branches that are now bursting their leaves. Some people sit on benches to gaze; still others to bike and run along the paths, and those in my observing category to wander to photograph the sky and the leaves.
