The idea of photographing every day from a relatively fixed position on West End Avenue and 87th street in Manhattan has been implemented. Most every day, I meander over to the area and wait and watch for "events." The street, unlike Broadway, one block west, is quiet since it is a residential street. But passersby come and go at all hours of the day - workers, children, parents, dog walkers, and of course a multitude of dogs in all sizes, breeds, and sweaters. The architecture is interesting with the inclusion of a Methodist Church and different size apartment buildings. Eighty-seventh and West End Avenue is the last stop for the M86 bus that travels east and west through Central Park from Broadway clear over to York Avenue on the East Side of Manhattan. More to add later...this is the beginning.
