Fiddling with the elements of a slow shutter speed, long focal length, fixed ISO, and a variable density filter to capture movement as a blur is no easy task for an autodidact. Taxis zipping by on Broadway offered opportunity to snag some images with my camera secure on a tripod and connected to a cable release ready for the "moment." Need lots more practice and experimentation before I am satisfied, but here is a start. Additional fun was time spent with passersby asking questions and with a camera enthusiast offering help from the sidelines. Tomorrow is another day.
