Stepping Down, Focal Length, and Focal Plane

A photographer friend gave me an assignment.  "Focus distance remaining the same, shoot with  two lenses at different focal lengths and also capture several images on different focal planes." I used a Panasonic-Leica 25 mm and a Olympus M Zuiko 45 mm indoors, viewing nesting dolls on a dining room table. The largest or highest F-stop number, f/16 on the Pany-Leica, produced the sharpest images of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz characters, with my focus on the scarecrow. As for the 45 mm Olympus, here too, the highest f stop (f/22) produced the clearest image with the babushka gals in different rows, focusing on the tallest. The results will be interesting for our analysis.
