Often more interesting than the art displayed at gallery exhibition art shows are the attendees and the representatives of the art galleries who tend the wares and sell the merchandise. A mammoth structure, the Park Avenue Armory on 67th Street and Park Avenue, hosts such exhibitions. Most recent was an art show, organized by ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America) to Benefit Henry Street Settlement, a social service organization in NYC, March 6-10, 2013. Entrance fee was $25, pricey, but for a good cause, and the art is high quality -- sculpture, painting, photography - old masters and current artists. So there is art to view and people too.
