There is Something About Sepia

April 30, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

P5090013 Sepia is a brown tint named after the ink sac of the cuttlefish. The ink was used in the past to tone photographic prints. Quite different from black and white, it adds softness, dreaminess, a vintage feel to an image. Skies seem more turbulent and budding leaves glow with a luminosity. Sepia can also enhance mystery with its visual suggestion of a  long-ago event or time.  P4300017
