It stands in the corner of the NYC apartment, almost as tall as the ceiling, flanked by two framed Chinese calligraphy paintings, each one a poem about nature. I doubt that this Canadian Christmas tree expected such a setting. But the setting is lovely and the tree is trimmed simply -- rows and rows of white lights. That's it. The lights gleam and sparkle and reflect on the paintings and make the room magical. Come visit.
