No letup to mastering the tools and tricks of processing infrared photos. That's the great part...even if frustrating at times. Infrareds allow much creativity to achieve desired ends - playing with white balance and then channel mixing colors for a start. It's a favorite processing of mine, an alchemy. a magic, a wondrous way to perceive the world. The subject in this image is the 79th Street Boat Basin in NYC, viewed from the cafe overlooking the Hudson River and the marina. And, of course, the image can be converted to black and white.
