Wednesday's rain made slush mush on the city streets. Puddle pools in the snow mandated waterproof boots. Snow plow trucks hurtled down avenues like the charge of the light brigade, pushing piles of snow next to sidewalks, thus requiring nimble leaps to board buses and cross avenues. Snow blowers spun brown snow pellets into mid air splattering car windows and anyone else in their path. Unusual terrain for New York City streets.
