Tavern on the Green and Evening GlowsDusk time in New York City affords the view of contrasting lights and color explosions. Tavern on the Green in Central Park is alit with vibrant colors as people mill about in conversation. Yellows, reds, and blues predominate. Along Broadway near Lincoln Center are Christmas lights entwined on trees and branches with soaring buildings etched in the oncoming late afternoon darkness. The scenes exhibit holiday time activity of comings and goings.
