The frenzied blaze is giving way to exhaustion. Tones and hues of autumn's brilliance are softening as the season wears on. Still luscious, though, the yellows and oranges, give way to burnished gold. A still lovely time of year.

The country road is unpaved, strewn with pebbles and stones. Under a puffy clouded blue sky, it leads to a deep red simple structure, a barn perhaps. Green grass surrounds the structure, providing a tidy and natural setting.

Making Hay While the Sun Shines, in Copake, NY

End of summer season is the time to bale the grass hay. On a large property of rolling hills. specialized farm equipment traverses the land, shears, and bales the grasses. These bales dot the landscape like rotund sculptures. The grass hay bales will feed animals during the winter months, making good use of the land's summer offerings.
